The tray is now ready to rumble.

Here is a rough idea on how the trays will look.  I plan on priming and painting them later on.  Talked to a guy at GZ Moncton, Reid and he said that even if the metal is painted over the magnets will still be able to hold to the metal.

Movement Tray Materials

Here are the materials I used to make the metal bottom with.  It may not seem like much but to be honest it wasn't.  Once you know how to make magnetic movement trays its really quite easy to do.

Movement Tray

Here is the movement tray what I was working on earlier today.  I used a sheet of 2mm wood and cut balsa wood to make the sides.  I then cut a cookie tray to fit within the tray.
Well today is day one of my new blog.  I worked last night on making some magnetic movement trays once I got back from shopping and GZ in Moncton.  Hopefully I will have some pictures up later today to go along with my posts.  This morning after creating this blog page, I managed to start the flesh on my new Vampire general.  Seems to be a great start to a possible short day.  After work I have the following goals set for this evening.

  1. go to Walmart to purchase supplies to finish my movement trays (glue, etc.).
  2. finish assembling my VC general.
  3. add second coat of flesh to VC general
  4. work on movement trays for the VC army.
I will probally just start part 4 before I have to break to go for supper with family.  Once I return I hope to take pictures of all I have finished during the day.
